Instructions and Guidelines for the Student Paper Competition
Submission deadline: April 1, 2025
The AIS Educator Association (AISEA) is pleased to announce the Student Paper Competition at this year’s AIS Educator’s conference! This competition is intended to recognize outstanding work by Graduate or PhD students of accounting information systems and is funded through a generous donation by the AISEA Founders, Jack and Maye Stewart.
The student who submits the winning paper will receive a $1,000 cash award upon presenting the paper at the AIS Educator’s conference.
Paper topics may include but are not limited to:
Emerging IT concepts and/or tools in AIS | Gen AI |
AIS educational research | Organization and management of IS/IT |
Control and auditing technologies | Systems implementation issues |
Analytics | REA / ERD / Database Design |
Data visualization | Cybersecurity |
Financial reporting systems | IT risk management |
Blockchain and AIS | IT General Controls |
General AIS frameworks | Web assurance |
Document Formatting:
- The paper should follow the submission style guidelines available at AIS Educator Association listed here.
- Use a file name that reflects the name of the paper rather than the author.
- Remove other identifiers of the author or school from the document.
How to Submit:
- Follow the regular conference submission guidelines.
- When asked for the Submission Type: Choose the Graduate/PhD Student Paper option.
