Paper and Presentations

Presentation time is available for Friday and Saturday. Sunday morning we will host round table discussions covering topics of interest to AIS Educators such as: Nightmares from the Classroom, Managing Guest Speakers, Sharing Syllabi, Classroom Projects, Comparison of Texts, and other topics.

We’re looking forward to receiving your papers and proposals. Acceptance notifications will be made by May 1, 2018. If you have a deadline to allow time for travel arrangements – please state this prominently on your submission. We will do everything we can to accommodate early reviewer responses.

Submission Information

We invite scholarship from both a teaching and a research perspective. Submissions of completed papers, extended abstracts (proposals), working papers (unpublished cases, teaching exercises or empirical research), hands-‐on computer training sessions, and panel discussion proposals addressing AIS topics are welcomed. Scholarship at early stages of development is especially encouraged. Proposals are welcomed for both demonstrations and hands-‐on computer training sessions that can be delivered in 45 or 90-‐minute sessions. We will have two dedicated session rooms installed with laptops during the Conference for hands-‐on computer training sessions.

Past conferences have included innovative assignments, cases, research papers, or projects addressing emerging IT concepts and tools in AIS; organization and management of IS; internal control and auditing systems, REA; IT audit; database, enterprise, analytics and decision-‐making systems; AIS systems implementation issues; general AIS frameworks; tips for AIS Educators; pedagogy, academic integrity and assessment in AIS classes; AIS educational research and AIS classroom teaching techniques and approaches for tough topics. In addition, we pride ourselves on providing hands-‐on training opportunities in Dynamics, SAP and other ERP solutions; basic, intermediate and advanced MS Excel and Access training; IDEA, XBRL, the Systems Understanding Aid (SUA), and instructional design tools like Camtasia. Please indicate your time requirement for your session and any special software necessary.

Each conference room has wireless Internet connectivity, a laptop at the front of the room, and a projection screen.
